The Canadian Armed Forces celebrated the 75th Anniversary of the inception of the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1999. One of the main festivities was the airshow at 4 Wing Cold Lake in Alberta. There were many highlights at the show, most notably two F-104 Starfighters, six CF-18s performing a field attack and a refueling demo with a C-130, and an unbelievable performance by the Georgia Air National Guard in one of their B-1s. Both Canadian military demonstration teams, the Snowbirds and the Skyhawks were present. The weather was a disappointment as it rained steadily all Saturday with most acts being cancelled. Sunday was better. It stayed dry, but thunderstorms threatened in the distance for much of the day.

Special thanks to Bill Gilson of Aero Photo International for all his help at the airshow in Cold Lake.
